Bout of Books 20 Daily Update Post

Bout of Books starts today, August 21! It’s one of my very favorite, low-stress readathons. If you have any questions, just let me know because I’m an expert this time around! The ‘thon runs until August 27th. The Twitter chats are Monday evening & Saturday morning, and I’m super excited! Before I get into updates, I’ve also re-posted my goals, so that I remember!

Bout of Books 20 Goals

• Read at least 14 hours over the course of the week (which is 2 hours per day, with some wiggle room on the weekend).
• Get caught up on some reading challenges & library books! My reading challenges have been super suffering lately (and I really want to finish them all!)
• Participate in both Twitter chats! I think I’ve only made it to 1 the last few times, and I really love them, so I’m looking forward to remembering both!
• Participate in at least 4 daily challenges!
• Be an awesome expert!! I’m so excited!

BoB Challenge: The challenge today is to rewrite a synopsis from a different character’s POV. Given the news about All Souls Trilogy today, I’m going to do A Discovery of Witches! 

My synopsis: Matthew Clairmont is an ageless vampire. He’s not had easy lives, and he’s tortured by his past. Currently living as a scientist at Oxford University, everything in his life changes the day he encounters another scholar: a witch who seems very reluctant to use her powers. Though natural enemies, Matthew is intrigued by Diana (the witch) and begins to help her as other creatures begin to invade her life after she finds a mysterious book. As they work together, their relationship will grow–changing both their lives and throwing them into the middle of a brewing war and a political mess.
